A Message from the Pastor

Pastor and Kara Schmelzer

People around the world desire a new life, the ability to start fresh. Many are bound by drugs, alcohol, and a whole host of situations. They dream of freedom, but wonder how they can obtain it, and where to turn. They search many possibilities, but too often many are left believing that their situation is hopeless. Statistics tell us that suicide ranks as the third leading cause of death among America’s teenagers. But the scriptures let us know that no situation is hopeless! In the second book of Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 17 the apostle Paul said that, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” There is an answer. Your situation is not hopeless. You can have a new life!

On behalf of the Winona Pentecostal Church in Winona, Minnesota, I want you to know that you can start fresh. We have seen many lives liberated and set free. Jesus said that, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” He tells us the reason that He came to earth, “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” You may have looked in many places trying to find peace, happiness, and joy. We say, “Look no further!” We encourage you to give the Lord a chance, and extend a warm welcome for you to visit us during one of our services.

Sincerely,

Mike Schmelzer, Pastor
